Rubber-to-metal-bonded components such as track pads and coupling elements are crucial for power transmission, stability and operational safety in the off-highway and construction equipment sectors. Base plates or track pads are primarily used in soil compaction and attachment equipment and serve as a robust interface between the machine and the ground. They transmit high static and dynamic forces, are designed to be wear-resistant and are often engineered to withstand high impact, abrasion and temperature stresses. Their geometry and material significantly determine compaction performance and service life. Coupling elements in drivetrain technology connect the engine, transmission and working units and compensate for misalignment, torsional vibrations and load peaks. Elastomeric couplings are frequently used; they reliably transmit torque while simultaneously damping vibrations. This relieves stress on the drivetrain and bearings, reduces noise and significantly increases operational reliability under varying loads and harsh operating conditions.
