Coupling element

Rubber-metal coupling elements are elastic components used in commercial vehicles to safely transmit torque, shocks and vibrations between drive components while simultaneously dampening them. They consist of a flexible rubber body that is firmly connected and vulcanized to metal elements. This allows them to both safely transmit forces and effectively absorb vibrations. In commercial vehicles, these elements ensure smooth, low-wear operation between the engine, transmission, driveshaft and auxiliary drives. They compensate for misalignment, reduce load spikes during acceleration or gear shifting and protect adjacent components from overload. In addition, they help reduce noise and extend the service life of the entire powertrain - especially under high loads and in demanding off-road conditions.
